* Ode to Sarah
By: David, 22, of Boston
Some would call me a copycat poet,
An unoriginal talent,
Ranked up there with Milli Vanilli
And Puffy Combs.
Hardly.
My intentions are at worst the best,
At honoring such a deserving and
Real talent as she.
I could never do her proper justice
Except to say that if we
Kept within our hearts one ounce of the
Love that fills her soul,
Even the poorest of us would not
Ever know a touch of want.
Somewhere up above the
Clouds, an angel was lost and found
On Earth.
Recognized by none, a halo was
Placed upon her head, revealing
In full, the depth of her beauty.
Only now, we'll never give her back.
